Why I’m Betting My Future on Human Mobility
There are certain moments in life when you realize you might be standing at the beginning of something much bigger than yourself.
I feel like I’m in one of those moments right now.
For most of my life, I never thought I would become so focused on mobility. Like most people, I took movement for granted.
Then life happened.
Injuries happened. Accidents happened. Years of wear and tear caught up with me. I went through surgeries, physical therapy, doctor visits, treatments, and a lot of trial and error trying to figure out how to keep doing the things I love.
Some things helped. Some did not.
But one thing became clear to me.
A lot of people are not trying to become elite athletes. They just want to keep living their lives.
They want to hike with their family.
They want to play with their kids or grandkids.
They want to walk through an airport without worrying about how much pain or fatigue they will be in later.
They want to finish a full day of work without feeling completely destroyed.
They want to travel, explore, and enjoy life without feeling like their body is always holding them back.
That is when I started paying attention to wearable mobility technology.
Radventurers CO is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
At first, it sounded like science fiction.
Then I tried it for myself.
The more I learned, the more I realized this was not just another gadget or fitness product. It felt like the beginning of an entirely new category of technology designed to help people keep moving.
That changed the way I looked at my future.
I stopped asking myself, “What product should I sell?”
I started asking a bigger question.
“What if I built the place where people could discover the future of movement?”
That is how Radventurers Mobility Lab was born.
I do not want it to be just a showroom or a place where people are pressured into buying something.
I want it to be a place where people can actually experience wearable mobility technology in real-world situations.
A place where businesses can see how these systems work.
A place where older adults can explore new possibilities.
A place where workers can learn about technology that may help with physically demanding jobs.
A place where outdoor enthusiasts can imagine doing things they thought they might have to give up.
Most importantly, I want it to be a place built on honest education.
I am not going to tell people that every product is perfect.
Some technologies will impress me.
Some will disappoint me.
Some will need more time and development.
My job is to document the journey honestly and share what I learn.
That is why I am writing these articles.
I do not just want to build a company.
I want to build a trusted resource.
When someone searches for information about staying active, joint pain, active aging, workplace mobility, or wearable technology, I want Radventurers Mobility Lab to be one of the places they can go for real information and real experiences.
I know that may take time.
I am okay with that.
Anything worth building usually does.
I will continue sharing the companies I meet, the technologies I test, the people I work with, and the lessons I learn along the way.
I do not know exactly where this journey will lead.
But I know where it starts.
One step.
One story.
One demonstration.
One person realizing that maybe their adventures are not over after all.
Thank you for joining me at the beginning.
I truly believe the future of human mobility is going to be one of the biggest and most important stories of the next decade.
And we are just getting started.
